Climate
The climate of colonial New Jersey was very much the same as it is currently. The only difference being slighty cooler weather. It was plenty warm enough to grow healthy crops, but the residents weren't sweating like crazy in their heavy clothes. New Jersey also had four distinct seasons. Summer didn't bleed into Fall, and people could tell when Winter was coming.
